About SQF - Safe Quality Food

The SQF (Safe Quality Food) Institute is a division of the Food Marketing Institute (FMI), established to administer the SQF Program, a leading, global food safety and quality certification and management system. The Program provides independent certification that a supplier's food safety and quality management system complies with international and domestic food safety regulations. This enables suppliers to assure their customers that food has been produced, processed, prepared and handled according to the highest possible standards, at all levels of the supply chain

Who is it relevant to?

The SQF Program is the only GFSI recognized standard that can offer a seamless farm to fork food safety and quality certification solution by providing supply chain management for both primary production (SQF 1000) and food manufacturing and distribution (SQF 2000).

SQF is a globally trusted and accepted food safety and quality program. However, it is the only such program, recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), that is headquartered outside of Europe. SQF provides a comprehensive service to the North American food industry.
